A busy Day in Sunny Prince George

Prince George, B.C. – It’s shaping up to be a busy weekend in the city of Prince George, and if activities you plan to attend will take place outdoors, you’re in luck with great weather in store.
The forecast calls for mainly sunny skies today, high of 22 and sunny with cloudy periods Sunday with a high of 19.

 

Here are some of the many events in the city today:

 

–The 20th annual Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life begins at 10am at Masich Place Stadium.

 

–the 79th Elks/Shriners May Day Parade kicks off at the Coliseum at 11am.

 

–The PG Cycling Club’s annual Bike Swap runs 11 till 2 at the Moose Hall on Douglas Street.

 

–UNBC celebrates the graduation of its 5th year of Northern Medical Program graduates, 2pm in the Canfor Theatre.

 

–CNC holds its convocation ceremony at 2pm at CN Centre.

 

–and the Midway is on at the Exhibition Grounds.

 

 

 

On Sunday

 

–30 soldiers with the Rocky Mountain Rangers celebrate graduation from basic training, 10:30am at CN Centre.

 

–and most importantly, it’s Mother’s Day and don’t you forget.
