Prince George, B.C.- The story of “Roxy” the runaway dog, has a happy ending.
Around lunchtime today, the SPCA was informed an anonymous donation was being made to bail Roxy out of the Animal Shelter.

Roxy, a one year old toy poodle, had bolted from the family home in the Hart when a 3 year old member of the family (Mikayel) opened the front door (see previous story) .
Although efforts were made to chase her down, the energetic pup left her humans in the dust.
“I never meant for people to step up and pay to get Roxy out” says Lincoln Flynn, Roxy’s owner, “I just wanted to see if it was possible to arrange a payment plan and get her home. But I do want to thank everyone who has come forward to help us bring Roxy home.”
3 year old Mikayel was happy to be reunited with his pal. Roxy is wearing a city license now, and the next step will be to add one of those i.d. tags so people can call the Flynn’s should Roxy escape again.

Okay, a happy ending to this story. I’ll bet they had to pay for dog license if Roxy didn’t have one before! That way the city got something out of the family another way.
Well, a dogowner is required to purchase a license. The owner should think about that before he/she gets a pet and base the decision to have a pet on that reality. If one cannot afford to pay for a license one should refrain from having a pet.
