Prince George, B.C.- Sheldon Clare of Prince George, has been awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal. The medal honours the Queen for her 60 years on the throne and is being awarded to Canadians who have made signficant contributions to the community and country.
Sheldon Clare is a past president of Branch 43 of the Royal Canadian Legion, was active in returning the Rocky Mountain Rangers to Prince George and is president of Canada’s National Firearms Association.
The medal was presented to Sheldon Clare earlier this month in Ottawa, by Prince George – Peace River M.P. Bob Zimmer.

Sheldon is as deserving as anyone, but one can’t help but think the conservatives are using this non partisan award for partisan politics. The only ones deserving of this award as Canadians that contributed to Canada’s success will be conservatives… one is either a professional agitator, environmental terrorist, or they can be a Diamond Jubilee Medal winner, and it will be as black and white as that for the Harper people.
