The name of this charity would be a big help, as aren’t most charities reputable and well known??
We had a 20-ish male adult come to the door 2 wks ago collecting for a children’s camp, that we’d never heard of. He had a clipboard in his hand and a lanyard around his neck, but not a pamphlet with any info pertaining to this charity. When they can’t provide any handouts or flyer with info or contacts, they lose all credibility with me.
At this time of year with all the fundraisers, walks and relays, it’s just too easy for certain people to take advantage of the situation.Sad, but true.

I don’t give to charities who solicit door to door. I’ll find them, they don’t need to find me.

The most disgusting thing is women coming to my door with children in tow, wanting to give me a pamphlet about some entity’s religion. AND wanting money? Not on my watch!
All leeches.

I was walking through Moores Meadow and some guy popped out of the bushes trying to get me to sponsor a child or something like that. He’s lucky I didn’t bear spray him and sic the dog on him. In hindsight, I should have probably called the cops. Seemed really really strange, I kept walking and didn’t listen long enough to get any details.
