CN Checking Cause of Hixon Derailment

Prince George, B.C. – CN Rail is still trying to determine why six cars of one of its freight trains derailed early Saturday morning at Hixon.
The derailment occurred at about 4 a.m. Saturday.
The cars were empty and there were no hazardous materials or crew injuries involved.
A CN spokesman says the cars were righted and the clean-up completed at 5 Saturday afternoon. The spokesman had no information on the destination of the train. He says the investigation of the derailment continues.

Might be the fact that no major capital projects on the rail line have been done in the area since 1994.Just a possibility.
