Prince George- Hot on the heels of hiring a new men’s soccer coach, UNBC Athletics Director Jason Kerswill has chosen the newest member of the UNBC coaching team.
Andy Cameron will be the new head coach for UNBC’s women’s soccer team for their first season in the Canada West league.
Cameron has 20 years of university coaching experience under his belt, all in the CIS and provincial team levels, and has been a Technical Director in four provinces. He’s moving west from New Brunswick, where he’s spent the last nine years coaching UNB’s Varsity Reds.
“This is an exciting time for women’s soccer at UNBC,” says Kerswill. “We have a first class facility here and our goal is to raise the profile of our women’s program– I believe Andy’s experience makes him the candidate best suited to achieve that goal. His work in developing programs is what we need here at UNBC.”
