Prince George, B.C. – A 24 year old man is in hospital in serious condition suffering from severe burns after he attempted to remove a high voltage wire from his vehicle early Saturday morning on the Upper Fraser Rd.
The accident occurred when the driver left the road and sheared off a BC Hydro pole carrying the high voltage. According to reports he then attempted to remove the high tension wire (69 thousand volt wires) suffering burns in the process, and then attempted to remove them a second time.
He was initially taken to the University Hospital of Northern B.C., and has since been transferred to Vancouver.
Alcohol is believed to have been a factor. No other persons were in the vehicle.

I bet the burns are enough of a punishment. Lets give him a cookie, and a pat on the head, and send him on his way. Darwin should take care of the rest.
Tried to remove the power lines a second time? Was it Homer Simpson? Lesson—-Stay in your car if you have power lines down near by.
Again, not quite clear on the concept.
“Alcohol is believed to have been a factor.” So what, the guy realizes he’s hammered so he tries, not once but twice, to get a live wire off his vehicle so he can get the heck out of there? Wow.
Hope he was gassed enough that he didn’t feel the the zaps. Likely does today though.
Burned trying to fleet the scene. Gonna be a nasty bill once the smoke clears.
You see the evils of alcohol! If he was stoned on weed, this would’ve never occured.
Did he not learn in school to NOT touch high voltage wires. Is that something that is not thought in school? What’s up with the education system ?
?
“Darwin should take care of the rest.”
Loved that, Just hope he doesn’t involve anyone else when that happens.
