Workers install traffic light standard
Prince George, B.C.- The installation of a replacement traffic light at 17th and Queensway should be complete today.
The light standard was taken out Friday June 8th when it was knocked down by a semi-truck.
The intersection has been operating on a four way stop regime since then.

Shouldn’t the mayor be there cutting a ribbon or something?
Probably the truck swerved avoid a Queensway Crack Ho. They run between the motel and 7-11pretty often.
Glad its almost done. Now if they can keep the lights at 15th and Ospika working….
So while that is great news, what are the plans for 15 & Ospika. That route is travelled more than Queensway & 17th yet it’s been flashing red for weeks. It’s getting old real fast.
Flashing red? Maybe the light on Queensway should flash red all the time. More appropriate.
Ospika &15th lights need a control box. That style hasn’t been made in 10 years, the manufacturer went kaput. They’re a lot more of those controllers in this city, and no spare parts.
Good planning.
I wonder how much longer until they find a working replacement.
