Prince George, BC – Travellers are being advised that the road between Wells and Likely will be closed as of tomorrow to repair damage caused by last year’s high spring run-off.

The Ministry of Forests, Lands, and Natural Resource Operations advises that the Cunningham Pass Forest Service Road will be closed approximately 27-kilometres southeast of Wells and the Barkerville Historic Site.  Ministry staff say roadwork repairs, including blasting, is necessary at two separate locations in light of last year’s damage.

The route is set to re-open on July 3rd, but there will be no through access between Wells and Likely until then and no alternate routes are available.
