Prince George, B.C. – The team gathering input on the role of the office of a Senior’s Advocate in B.C. rolls into Prince George today.
There will be two sessions, with the first dedicated to hearing from invited stakeholders. Then, this afternoon, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. members of the public are invited to attend to submit their suggestions.
The BC Health Coalition is calling for the Senior’s Advocate to be independent and notes the Province’s discussion paper on the office, doesn’t mention that aspect. The Coalition is calling on people to attend the meeting to press for an independent advocate “to provide proactive advocacy, support and information.”
The meeting is being held at the Prince George Civic Centre.
