Prince George, B.C. – While the City of Prince George deals with issues of flooding, the Prince George Airport was training crews on how to deal with fire.
Over the past three days, a column of thick black smoke could be seen coming from the area of the Airport in the early afternoon.
The smoke was coming from an intentionally lit fire, in a contained scenario, so crews could test their response times and abilities to douse the flames in a safe and timely fashion.
It all made for some very interesting photos, which we wanted to share with you.

….which was followed up by lawn maintenance training, proper janitorial procedures and window washing techniques……..
Fire fighting must be one of the perishable skills people learn …
I wonder how often they learn a new technique.
Or maybe it is disposable knowledge ….
Looks to me like a lot more bicycle riders better get on the road in PG to compensate for all that smoky air out at the airport. No idle zones there? Hypocrites and contradictions abound. Hopefully that smoke wafts it’s way to Alberta after a while. We better smarten up if we want to save our world. Next time use pretend smoke.
