Highway 16 West of Tete Jaune Closed Indefinitely

Prince George, B.C. – Travel from Prince George along Highway 16 to Alberta has been cut off, and there is no indication when it might resume.
According to the Drive BC website, the highway is closed in both directions 8 kilometres west of the junction with Highway 5 at Tete Jaune Cache because of a mud slide that came down around 3:30pm Saturday. There is no detour available, and no estimated time of re-opening the route.
Drive BC will provide an update at 8 Sunday morning.

How about the backroad from Dunster to Tete Jaune?
metalman.
Is this deja vu? …… maybe a parallel world out there ….
Maybe with the weather there, whatever that weather may be, that route is covered with slide(s) as well.
The forest road at dunster is open!! We just went through and it was easy and fine. 4 ppl told us it was closed. It’s open.
Thanks Bbop.
