Valemount- Both sections of highway 16 have re opened in the Tete Jaune Cache area after mud slides and wash outs closed the highway for two days.

Highway 16, 8 kilometres west of the junction of highway 5 is open to single lane traffic.

There is single lane traffic 26 kilometres east of the junction of highway 5.

Both parts of the highway suffered floods and mud slides on the weekend.
