Prince George, BC – A 16-year-old Prince George boy has succumbed to injuries received in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 16 east, near the Yellowhead bridge, early Thursday morning.
The teen was the sole occupant in the vehicle at the time of the crash. He sustained critical injuries when the car he was driving flipped over the cement barrier on the northside of the highway and rolled 100-metres down a steep embankment on the east side of the bridge.
The young man was not a licensed driver. RCMP have said speed and alcohol are believed to have been factors in the crash.
The victim’s identity has not been released.

Sad. No one should lose a child.
NO matter the cause – the death of a child is extremely difficult for family and friends. Condolences go out to the family, all his school friends and everyone who is touched by this tragedy

Prayers for the family
The young man was a class mate of my kids. This is very sad. Condolences to his family, and friends.
my condolence’s to the family.
My comment yesterday that someone should be held accountable for this unnecessary loss of life but today I am very sorry to the family. Regardless of who is to blame, no one meant for this to happen. My only hope now is that this poor grieving family finds peace and calm soon as this takes a terrible toll on everyone. I too heard he was a very nice kid and if it means anything, I hope he enjoys eternity with the vibrance and youthfulness that he took to that better place with him.
My condolences to the family. He was a nice young man.
RIP. God knows i did what he did at his age.
How tragic. My thoughts are with the family of this young man.
