Pilot in Fatal Williams Lake Plane Crash Identified

Williams Lake, B.C.- The pilot who died when his small plane crashed near Williams Lake on Saturday has been identified as 77 year old Montague (Monty) Edward Exton of Williams Lake.
His plane, a privately owned Cessna 185 Float Plane, was reported missing after he failed to return from a routine flight on June 30, 2012.
Search and Rescue personnel located the aircraft at a crash site on the bank of the Fraser River and Mr. Exton was confirmed deceased at the scene. No other occupants were on board the flight.
The BC Coroners Service, with the assistance of the Transportation Safety Board and the RCMP, is continuing to investigate this death.
