Prince George, B.C.- The Pulp Paper and Wood Workers of Canada ( PPWC) Local 9, have a tentative agreement with CPLP.
The PPWC’s First Vice President of the Western Region, Frank Robertson says the tentative agreement was reached late Tuesday night. Because of pattern bargaining, the agreement mirrors the package developed with the Community Energy and Pulp Workers this week.
Details of the five year tentative agreement are not yet public, as the package has yet to be presented to the 425 members of Local 9 at the P.G. and Intercon Pulp mills.
The membership will be voting on the package Wednesday of next week.
The previous agreement expired on May 1st of this year.
