Arrest Made in Armed Hold Up

Prince George, B.C.- An arrest has been made in connection with an armed hold up that took place earlier this week in Prince George.
On Monday July 9th, a man walked into a convenience store in the 3100 block of 15th avenue, produced a knife and took off with the cash register. He jumped into a vehicle that was waiting near by and he and a second suspect fled the scene.
The vehicle was found a short time later.
The investigation has lead to the arrest of a Smithers man.
25 year old Eric John Barnes of Smithers has been arrested and charged with :
· Robbery,
· resisting/obstruction a Peace Officer
· Breach of probation.
He has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance which is slated for July 18th.
The investigation continues.

Life can be tough out there in the real world! Get up in the morning (every day), go to work (Rain, sleet, snow, 30 below, 30 above) and work up a sweat, follow orders, pay taxes, obey the law (!) and all that dreary stuff!
This way (see above) a secure heated/airconditioned place to stay, fresh bedsheets and laundry, three nutritious meals a day plus snacks, TV, radio, library, free medical and dental…one may get the impression that they do criminal things just to get back in again!
