Prince George, B.C.- The Pïne Centre Mall was evacuated over the lunch hour following detection of a noxious substance.
It appears someone placed a can of either bear spray, or pepper spray in the mall, and rigged it for a continuous spray motion.
The presence of the spray was noted when some customers complained of having difficulty breathing.
As one RCMP officer put it, "Someone decided to ruin everybody’s day."
Security located the spray and removed it from the mall.
The mall was evacuated, but at this point there are no reports of anyone seeking hospital treatment. The evacuation order was lifted around 1:15 this afternoon, after the air in the mall had cleared.

So hopefully they can catch the person on video cam?
So it’s really not only “where your friends and neighbours shop”, I guess. Relieved the boredom of shopping that day.
I expect that they put the finger prints from the can on RCMP file! An idiot like that is going to do something way more serious soon! Then, tie him/her to a pole and give him/her forty lashes in a public square!
and let the Crows have him
This isn’t the first time the mall had been bear sprayed. It happened a couple of years ago. Last time they let everyone continue shopping and into the mall. Hopefully with the cams they will perhaps catch them. Perhaps what some scum is thinking is funny could actually harm some tiny baby or an elderly person with copd and oxygen.
Lemon scented bear spray wouldn’t have been so bad. Nor lavender.
People in a mall on a nice day..wow
I was there about 5 mins after the fire department got there and there was a guy arguing with fire personnel because he was upset that he was inconvenienced because he had a busy schedule and he needed to go in and get something from one of the stores. Man that guy was an idiot he should have himself removed from the gene pool.
