Prince George, BC – Prince Geore Fire Rescue has concluded its investigation into a duplex fire that forced six people to flee into the street early Tuesday morning…

Chief Fire Protection Officer, Dennis Perrault, says the area of origin has been pinpointed to a basement bedroom located in the southwest corner of the suite at 1457 McCullagh Avenue.  The fire spread from the bedroom to portions of the floor above and to the adjoining duplex at 1449 McCullagh.

However, Perrault says the cause of the fire has been ruled ‘undetermined’.

Five people from one side of the duplex and one resident of the adjoining residence escaped unharmed when the blaze broke out shortly before 5am Tuesday morning.
