Prince George, B.C.- This years marks the 100^th year the BC Forest Service has managed most of B.C.’s forest and rangelands ecosystems.

 

To help celebrate the centennial, the Other Guys theatre company out of Victoria, will be taking a special forestry tribute to communities throughout B.C. Prince George is scheduled for a show this fall.

 

The show, "Good Timber – Songs and Stories of the Western Logger” has been inspired by the poetry of Robert E. Swanson.

 

The show’s singers, musicians and actors perform against a multi-media backdrop that features rarely seen images from the BC Archives.

 

The Province has provided a $50 thousand dollar grant to the theatre group to take this show on the road.
