Knights Now 0-2
Chilliwack, B.C.- The PG Lomak Knights peewee AA baseball team will take the field in its third game looking for its first win.
In an error-filled game, the Knights lost 14-11 to Ladner, and will play Nanaimo at 3 pm.
Dustin Aldana was PG’s MVP, 3-3 with 3 RBIs and reaching base a fourth time when he was hit by a pitch. Jordan Arnett was the losing pitcher, in relief of Jarin Sutton, with Zach Swanson also taking the mound. Ladner scored five runs in the third and six in the sixth, many the product of errors.
"We’re really not sure where the mistakes are coming from, this team is too prepared and battle-tested for the way we’re playing," said assistant coach Darrell Gervais. "We got 12 hits, we worked a lot of walks, but we scored most of our runs with two outs. We’re not out of the playoff hunt yet, but we need to win our last two games and hope for some help — the first job is to win one game."
Playoffs go Sunday in Chilliwack, the Knights play Burnaby on Saturday.
