Prince George Man Feared Drowned At Carp Lake

Prince George- The search continues for a missing Prince George man who is feared drowned at Carp Lake west of McLeod Lake Sunday afternoon.
Details are sketchy but it is believed the 59 year old man was fishing and jumped overboard from the boat he was in to retrieve his hat that had blown off. He did not re surface . He was not wearing a life jacket.
His friends tried to reach him with the boat, but couldn’t find him.
Sunday and yesterday, Mackenzie RCMP, RCMP Air Services and Search and Rescue Personnel searched the area but failed to find the male.
Today, the RCMP’s Underwater Recovery Team is resuming the search.
At the request of the family, the man’s name has not been released.
