Prince George, B.C.- A severe thunderstorm has just rolled through Prince George, pelting the city with pea sized hail stones.
There are new power outages reported in the City, the largest in the an area bounded the Hart Highway on the west, , north of Blueberry Road and South of Clubhouse Road. That outage has left just over 300 customers in the dark. BC Hydro says it will be 6 tonight before power is restored.
It will be at least 7 tonight before power is restored to a handful of customers in the West Beaverly-Russell Road area.
Wires are down in the Wolczuk Road area, 5600 block of Cranbrook Hill Road and 200 Block of South Lyon Street. BC Hydro anticipates it will be 9 tonight bfore power has been restored all three areas.
These outages are in addition to the two which continue to cause issues . It will be at least 6 tonight before power is restored to some customers in the Upper Mud river area. But for customers in an area east of Queensway, bounded by 3rd and 4th Avenues downtown power will not likely be restored until at least 11:00 tomorrow night as that outage is the result of a transformer burn out.
A severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect for the area, and will likely soon be extended to regions east of the City which have been under a severe thunderstorm watch.
