Don Zurowski Appointed To BC Place Board

Vancouver- Former City of Prince George Councillor Don Zurowski, has been appointed to the BC Pavilion Corporation Board.
Zurowski was appointed along with four other new members.
Minister of Jobs, Tourism and Innovation Pat Bell also reappointed six of the old board which includes David Podmore, Chairman.
The board provides guidance to PavCo to meet government priorities and generate economic and community benefits through the management of BC place and the Vancouver Convention center.

Don Zurowski is an excellent choice for this position, however I hope he can work effectively with the NDP as they will most likely form the next government that will be recieving guidance from the board on the priorities for PavCo. No doubt some BC Liberal appointed boards will dissolve after May 2013.Look what happened to the BC Progress Board, when it became apparent things were not as economically positive as the BC Liberals have been touting under Premier Campbell’s leadership, Premier Clarke got rid of the group.
Don Z can work with anyone! I know that for a fact. He’s an excellent choice. He does his homework and is extremly ethical.
To bad we dont have him as Mayor.

Don will no doubt be a good addition to the Board, which I know nothing about He is the type of individual who takes such positions seriously and will, no doubt, add value to it.
I really do not know what benefit BC Place and the Vancouver Convention Centre is to the rest of the province outside of the City of Vancouver and the GVRD. If it isn’t, then maybe his appointment has the purpose of spreading the economic and social benefit a bit further.
If Don Zurowski was Mayor, you guys would eat him alive just you do with all of the others. It doesn’t matter who we have, nothing will ever be good enough.
Don made a valiant effort against the Dan. We ended up with His Honour Dan Rodgers due to the Dan’s deeper contributions pocket.
Dan was beat by her Honour Green for the same reason.
The lesson here is that the electoral candidate with the biggest bank roll will win.
Congrats Don…. Now you have something to do until you run for politics again

Lets not make Zurowski out to be more than what he was. A councillor. One of eight.
Kinda like half the balls on a billiard table, eh?
How some people forget that at the time of the Rogers/Zurowski election,everyone was saying Don was a Kinsley clone and that was the main reason he lost.Kinsley is a big reason the city is in the mess it is today.So with Don Zurowski as mayor we have just continued down the same path of ruin the Colin Kinsley set us on.
