I am very sorry to the family who lost this man but at the same time I hope alcohol was not a factor. Boating swimming and fishing do NOT go hand in hand. All too often guys do this but sometimes it doesn’t work out when you get into the water. God bless, folks. I am truly sorry, honestly. May he rest in peace.
They used a special kind of sonar, not GPS. In any case, I’m glad they found him for the sake of the family.
western2 – no alcohol, good swimming, just wanting to cool off, freak happening that he drown.
JohnnyBelt – GPS was how they located him and had a big role in finding him so quickly, sonar finalized things.
The man was wearing a GPS transmitter when he fell in the lake? Or more likely, they used GPS to go the spot they last saw him.
Don’t use the Word Alcohol unless you know it was the Cause. Don’t you People ever think of the Persons Family ?
What bothers me about this story is the line “he was seen having difficulties staying afloat”… Why wasn’t he helped back out? Who saw him? Sad story :(. My heart goes out to all friends and family of this unfortunate man.
