Prince George, B.C. – The forest fire danger rating in the Prince George Fire Centre is moderate to high at this time. However it could worsen with the hot weather.
The Fire Management Branch says the rating is moderate in the immediate Prince George area, but high the further north you get. Right now there are 21 fires of a minimum 10 hectares in size burning in the fire centre. There are 38 active fires in all of BC.
Branch officials are cautioning people throughout the province to be extremely vigilant when having fires outdoors.
