Drugs and Guns Seized in Dawson Creek
Dawson Creek, B.C.- RCMP are crediting tips from the public for leading them to a suspected drug house in the city of Dawson Creek.
On August 28th, 2012, the Dawson Creek RCMP Drug Section executed a search warrant at a Dawson Creek residence resulting in the seizure of Crack Cocaine, Marihuana, cash and a semi-automatic rifle. Officers also located a quantity of Heroin with an estimated street value of $12,000.
A 17 year old female and a 28 year old male, who had recently moved to Dawson Creek, were arrested without incident . The two have been charged with a total of 9 drug and firearms related offences. Both have been released from custody with strict court imposed conditions and are to appear in Dawson Creek Provincial Court on September 11th, 2012.

Seriously!?. Why did the police bother to arrest them if they were just going to release them? Is this indicative of what happens on the 11th? Let me guess; since they are probably considered first time offenders, they will be let go with probation, and a ban from owning firearms for a few years.
If they were to remain in custody until their trail date, at least they could taste jail as a deterrent. As it stands, this will give them time to sell enough drugs to afford a better lawyer. Disgusting!
