Prince  George, B.C.- Less than twelve hours after the Independent Investigations Office was officially declared up and running, the investigators have been called to Prince George to investigate a police shooting.

 

Details are not yet available, however there are reports one person is dead in a shooting incident that took place in Pineview this evening.

 

Seven investigators with the Independent Investigations Office are said to be on their way to Prince George.

 

While the IIO indicates it will release further details tomorrow morning, Prince George RCMP have indicated they will release some information tonight.
