Police Release Photos of Armed Hold Up Suspects

Monday, September 17, 2012 @ 3:52 PM

Prince George, B.C.- RCMP in Prince George have released surveillance camera photos of two suspects wanted in connection with the armed hold up  of two Subway  fast food outlets in Prince George.

Last Friday night, just before  9:00, two males entered the Subway restaurant located on the 6000 block of Southridge Avenue in the City. Both men produced what appeared to be hand guns and demanded money.  The lone employee co-operated and the two suspects fled on foot with a quantity of cash.

Less than an hour later, at approximately 9:45 PM, it appears the same two males entered the Subway restaurant located on the 6400 block of Highway 97 near Austin Road in the City. Again the suspects both produced hand guns, demanded cash and fled on foot.

No one was physically hurt during either of these serious Criminal offences.

Investigators are requesting the public’s help in identifying the two suspects. Suspects are described as:

Suspect one:

  • Caucasian male
  • Late teens or early twenties
  • Heavier set and taller than suspect two
  • Wearing a green jacket, blue jeans and black sunglasses

Suspect two:

  • Caucasian male
  • Late teens or early twenties
  • Thinner and shorter than suspect one
  • Wearing a dark jacket, khaki pants and black sunglasses

Given that these two restaurants were at opposite sides of the City, it is likely the suspects either had a vehicle or obtained transportation from someone else. Investigators are looking at the possibility that the suspects left the first location in a dark coloured pick-up.

Probably needed gas money, not drug money.

I wonder why they’re robbing Subways? I’m hard put to believe that Subway keeps unusually large amounts of cash on hand or is much easier to rob than other stores. Maybe they have a grudge against Subway?

That is ridiculous! The clerk didn’t sign up to have a gun pointed at him! These guys should be taken behind the barn and given some old school justice!

Might I suggest to the people who update this website that you should allow the ability for the end user to click on any photo and have it open up to a larger sized image. These images, as helpful as they are, are not large enough.

I second what 1fastm3 said. In fact, I think I’ve made the same suggestion. An alternative in some cases might be a link to another site, e.g. in this case a link to the RCMP site where presumably they will post the photos.

Isn’t that cute… he’s holding the gun like they do in the movies.

I’ve got a crack habit and a finger in my coat. Ya, well I make minimum wage and don’t care. Take the whole darn pot of bacon if you want.

I feel pity for late-night store employees in this world.

I was thinking exactly the same thing JB, the punks think they look cool holding the gun sideways like Awnie the toiminator.
Mind you, if that 9mm hole is pointed at your face it probably looks pretty scary no matter which way the dumbscum is holding the gun it is attached to.
The clerks did the right thing.
metalman.

Why are the pictures always so lousy? One would think that with the technolgy we have nowadays, we could produce clear pictures.

But the other side of the coin: If clerks had a gun under the counter, those guys would not be repeat offenders and we wouln’t be paying for their keep or their lawyers. We can’t let this continue — our kids will be financially responsible for our dumb decisions about crime. Right now; crime does pay but it only pays lawyers, judges and cops. Repeat offenders are their bread and butter.

Inside job for sure. These guys had to know the security situation and cash on hand available to hit the two stores one after the other. I’d bet a current employee or recent past employee is a wanabe gangster.

But why no disguise?
Are they hoping to get three hots and a cot for the long cold winter ahead?
metalman.

Where is RiverJet these days he seems to know everything going on around town, Im Sure he can crack the case in no time.
