Prince George, B.C. – The President and CEO of the Prince George Airport Authority, John Gibson, has been elected to the Board of Directors for the Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA).

The ACI-NA represents local, regional and governing bodies that own and operate commercial airports in Canada and the United States. The largest of the five worldwide regions of ACI, the North American chapter exists to advocate policies and provide services which strengthen the ability of commercial airports to serve their passengers, customers and communities.

Gibson joins  his counterparts from the airport in Saint John and Toronto  as   Canadian Airport Directors to the Board .  Gibson says the Prince George Airport is   the smallest airport to be on the ACI-NA.

“Having the Prince George Airport sitting at the board table will raise our profile in the aviation world. It will also ensure we are up to date on trends and changes in the global aviation industry. Issues such as safety, security, the environment and government airport finances are top of mind for the board” says Gibson.
