Prince George, B.C.- Charges have been approved  against a  Prince George man who  had been arrested twice in  8 days  for drug and weapons related offences.

On Wednesday, September 5th, 2012, the Prince George RCMP’s Drug Section arrested two men for Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking at a local hotel. Evidence acquired led investigators to obtaining a search warrant for the hotel room they were associated to.

The search of the hotel  room turned up approximately one kilogram of marihuana, one ounce of cocaine and drug trafficking paraphernalia. In addition, a loaded pistol grip shotgun and a significant amount of cash were located.

This arrest and search warrant came just eight days after one of the men was arrested by the Prince George RCMP’s Drug Section following an investigation into a residence believed to have been involved in the local drug trade. Evidence from that arrest led investigators to execute two search warrants on residences on Vance Road and Isle Pierre Road during the early morning hours on August 30th, 2012. Cocaine, Heroin, Marihuana, cash, a shotgun and two loaded assault rifles were among the items seized.

Timothy Adam Campbell, a 21 year old Prince George resident is facing the following charges in relation to both investigations:

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purposes of Trafficking (4 counts)
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Careless Use of a Firearm (3 counts)
  • Possession of a Prohibited Device (2 counts)

These investigations are continuing and officers are not ruling out the possibility of further charges.

They should throw the book at them. We can`t have people like that in society.

If you are arrested for what appears to be a major drug charge involving search warrants and property searchs, how are you out in public again and doing it all over less than 8 days later. THe only difference is they booked a hotel room instead of a house. Based on the cache of weapons and the amounts of drugs, these guys aren’t your street level hoodlums dealing drugs. Are they going to be out again in another 8 days?

To all those people who buy drugs off guys like Timothy, Thanks for helping gangs grow! NOT!!

Can we deport him from Prince George?

I put in a reccomendation to the Attorney General a while ago about banning people caught up in the gang element from living here for a year. Didn’t fly!
Seems they got more rights than we do…..

good thing he was out for 8 days to earn more $ for a lawyer…. should have kept him in holding in the 1st place. guess police dont have enough to do and have to keep arresting the same people over and over and over…..

Don’t come down on the police for this. Its the laws we have that tie the RCMP’s hands and give these criminal types all the rights they have. Give the lawyers who have written these laws the thanks they deserve for it.

If people are caught redhanded like this, they should be held immediately as a danger to the public but they can’t be becaue of the laws.

Seriously. I suspect there will be well oiled revolving doors in the front AND rear of our new police station. Betcha.

If the judicial JP’s would get serious, we wouldn’t need oil on those doors.
