Community College in Terrace Scene of Bomb Threat
Terrace, B.C.- Staff and students at North Western Community College on McConnell Avenue in Terrace are waiting to hear when they can return to their classes, or residence.
Around 9:30 this morning, RCMP in Terrace received a call regarding a possible bomb threat at the College.
Staff and students were safely evacuated from all the buildings in the area. The Prince George RCMP Dog Services have been on scene, searching buildings for any possible dangers or devices.
Emergency Social Services have been deployed and are stationed at the Terrace Arena where they are providing meals for students who are unable to return to their housing complexes.
Police have secured a perimeter around the area of McConnell Drive between Floyd and Highway 113 and are asking that the public stay away for safety reasons.
