Someone must have been actually doing the 50 km/h maximum posted speed, holding up ALL the other traffic in the Tabor 200 Sprint.

yup…

Was there a bearded guy driving a dirty black Blazer/Jimmy involved?

Lol, That was the pace car but it did not get off the track in time lol

Road rage can be a scary thing. I had an incident in July behind Northwood. Guy came up behind me from the one lane bridge and thought I was impeding traffic I found out.

Came tearing past me all wild giving me the finger and then cut right in front of my bumper nearly making contact, and then slowing right down to like 10km per hour, then came to a complete stop blocking the road.

I sat there for a couple of minutes wondering what this guys intention was, but he wasn’t moving… I thought maybe its a medical emergency or something? So I made a huge mistake and got out of the truck to check on him… walked up to the drivers side door to check on him, and suddenly the door swung open and the guy come out looking for a fight (I guess he waited to size me up before considering an assault?). He came right at me wanting a fight because he said I was intentionally driving slow blocking the road from him passing. I turned my left side to him ready to drop him with a right if I had to (he was a small guy in good shape well built and looked like he fought for fun)… I couldn’t help but think I could probably take him, but I don’t need this anything can happen on the side of the highway and I have a family to take care of (what if he has a weapon I kept thinking). I told him its a private road, I thought he was having a medical emergency and had no idea he wanted to pass and that I was going as fast as I could, I said I’ll wait for him to move his car… he followed me to my truck, but stayed out of my reach always threatening… the guy was clearly having a nervous break down, probably out for a drive on the back roads and on a trigger… another truck soon appeared and the assailant quickly got in his blue SUV with a small spare on the front drivers side and speed away.

I can’t be sure, but he looked a hell of a lot like that guy that was involved in the recent police shooting incident. I considered myself lucky I was able to defuse the situation and not be involved in the kind of altercation that had it been anyone else likely would have gone bad.

Never experienced anything like it. Makes one feel vulnerable and not very trusting of strangers on the road side. I consider myself one of the lucky ones in that I wasn’t actually physically attacked. I’ll never get out of the truck to check on a stranger again, I’ll just call for help or push him out of the way next time if need be… I’ll never allow myself to be cornered like that again though.

Hey Eagle, the guy must have been having a real bad day, I’m glad the situation did not escalate. Hopefully angry people like that continue to be the exception rather than the norm.
As a teenager, riding around in a car full of teenagers, the guy next to me displayed his middle finger to a guy in a pickup stopped next to us at a traffic light. This guy got out of his truck and tried to kick in the door window, but our driver hit the gas and he missed. We all thought that was pretty funny until we noticed this now REALLY pissed off guy zooming up behind us. He chased us around town for over half an hour, every time we stopped at an intersection he would jump out and make a lunge at the car, we evaded him each time. To tell the truth we were a car full of callow youths, scared sh!@#less of this large angry man. He finally gave it up, and we lived to see another day.
metalman.

Ya I never had a clue. Just goes to show one can never really know whats going through a strangers mind. Glad to hear your run in with an angry driver ended well too. For me I can appreciate a little more what some cops have to go through dealing with these guys. I’m sure they all end up there eventually.
