McBride, B.C.- Bob Zimmer, Member of Parliament for Prince George-Peace River, presented the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal to McBride resident Chris Parker for his significant contributions to Canada and the community.
Chris is an active Kinsman and volunteer, and a former youth pastor and soccer coach. He is always willing to help those in need. Whether it is an invitation to Christmas dinner, or giving someone a bed for the night, he cares for the welfare of others.
As part of the Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal honours Her Majesty for her service to our country and recognizes the service of Canadians from all walks of life and backgrounds who have made significant contributions to our country and our community.

Well done, well deserved.
These awards should not be conservative gifts. They should be given out by a bipartisan committee with no political affiliation.
The conservative process turns the whole award into a sham.
