Prince George, B.C. – Members of CUPE local 3799 have initiated an overtime ban at UNBC.
The University says it is working to ensure this action doesn’t compromise services to students.
There are about 370 support staff at UNBC who are members of CUPE local 3799. The job action follows a brief strike that took place on October 4th to press their demands for a new contract. The workers have been without a contract for more than 2 years.
