Pedestrian Dies In Collision With Tractor Trailer

Prince George- The Highway 97 Bypass in Prince George is closed this hour between 10th Ave and 18th as police investigate a pedestrian vehicle accident which claimed a life.
The accident involved a south bound tractor trailer which struck a pedestrian just after 10am. This morning.
Few details are available, and police have no estimate of when the highway will reopen . A detour is available around the scene.

I have heard that all accidents are preventable. We citizens are in a hurry. Drivers are in a hurry. All the time there are circumstances that are piling up against all that travel on our streets and sidewalks. Lets all take extra care out there for our selves and others. The most dangerous time to be walking is at night so please weare reflective clothing. Most drivers are unaware of our presence until it’s too late. Condolences to the family and loved ones.
