Horse Trailer Shears Off Power Pole

Prince George, B.C. – There may be an interuption in power in the Chief Lake Road area this evening as crews replace a power pole that was damaged late this afternoon.
A horse trailer came loose from the truck pulling it along Chief Lake Road, the trailer then slammed into the pole.
The trailer was empty at the time. No one injured, but the pole is definitely history.

Somebody is in a pile of doodoo. Trailers aren’t supposed to come off the truck. Safety chains must have been faulty or non existant.
Uh oh! I’m glad nobody and no animal was hurt here. Could of been worse!

Regardless of the condition of the ball or the hitch, there are a couple of things that prevent a runaway;
1) Safety chains. Required.
2) emergency braking activated by break away switch, requiring a live battery on board the trailer. Required.
Someone is definitely on a shit list.
