Kings Notch Another Win On Road
Prince George, BC – The Prince George Spruce Kings edged the Express 2-1 in Coquitlam tonight for their second win on the road this weekend.
Beau Orser scored for Coquitlam with four minutes remaining in the first and that 1-0 lead held until early in the third, when the Spruce Kings got a goal from Matthew Bissett.
Cam Lawson sent in the game winner with less than two minutes left in regulation time. Prince George outshot the Express 33-25. Kings netminder, Kirk Thompson, was selected the first star of the game.
Prince George remains tied with Chilliwack for first place in the standings in the Mainland Division, with 20-points. The Chiefs have two games in-hand.
The Spruce Kings return home for a game next Friday night, when they host the Alberni Valley Bulldogs.
