Jephcott, who recently moved to Prince George from the Sunshine Coast,  has a two year contract with IPG and will work to provide new services to local businesses, attract investment to the city and increase international trade.

Christina Doll , who is from Prince George,   is leaving her post as News Director at Vista Radio (94X and the Wolf) in Prince George and is working  towards a Diploma in Public Relations through the University of Victoria.

Will it never end.?????

Not in the near future. We know that the core review won’t look at IPiG so its full steam ahead. I noticed a couple of names are missing from the IPiG web-site so are these two positions additions or replacements ?

Dosent much matter if they are additions or replacements the entire business is a charade. Imagine IPG being involved in forgien trade. Guess Heather has taken a page from Queen Geerns book.
Cheers

“Jephcott …….will work to provide new services to local businesses, attract investment to the city and increase international trade.”

Who was responsible for doing that before and how successful was that individual?

For Jephcott to be considered successful at those objectives, what is the planned outcome of increase in investment and international trade as a direct result of his work.

What are the new services and who will pay for them? Will these be cost recovery services that are in competition with others already providing them? Perhaps some of those services are provided by the City for no fee or a low fee and those will be transferred to IPG which will charge cost recovery fees.

Just shows IPG is a job booster. Will those two jobs be added to their stats?

If two jobs do us so much good, why dont they hire four people and give us more bang for our buck. Why stop at two??

Why does everyone have a problem with IPG? I don’t know enough to understand the issue.

IPG development stragedy…keep hiring staff, cut the people who mow the lawns and man the shovels…pad the ranks of IPG…I get it:(

The problem with IPG is this. Under the microscope of the core review, Mayor and council tell KPMG that IPG is off limits to be included in the review. The city of Prince George contributes over a million dollars to the 1.3 million dollar operating budget of this outfit. How can it NOT be included in the core review. This is an absolute travesty of the whole core review process yet nothing is really said about it.

Agreed, Number4. Allow me to extrapolate by saying the core review process itself is the real travesty. Cannot believe we paid more than $350 grand to an outside agency that goes around the continent selling their one-size-fits-all “remedy” to city councils. Plenty is and has been said about all that is wrong with this entire process; however, like everything with this council it’s like pounding your head against concrete.

Sad part is folks, I think our Mayor is more concerned about lookn’ like the Iron Lady-I-Got-A-Handle-On-It to the KPMG peddlers than listening to her citizens and acting on the best interests of her community.

It’s a gong show.
