Cougars Plan To Raise the Woof

Tuesday, October 23, 2012 @ 3:54 AM
Prince George, B.C- The Cats will be putting on the “dog” on Saturday November 10th.
The Prince George Cougars are inviting   hockey fans to bring along their pooch for the Nov. 10th home game against the Edmonton Oil Kings.

It is part of the City’s “Salute to Service Dogs Week”  and the Prince George Cougars would like to show their support by allowing families to attend the game with their dog(s) on that Saturday evening.

“This is a new promotion that we’ve wanted to try for a long time,” said Prince George Cougars Vice President, Brandi Brodsky. “The evening should be a ton of fun for all families with dogs, and all dog-lovers in general.”

Fans who bring their dog to the game will sit in Section P and all dogs will receive free admission and their own seat.  Participants can enter the CN Centre through the front door, and can enter and exit the arena as needed during the game. All participating fans will need to sign a waiver when they purchase their tickets, which are available through Ticketmaster at (250)-564-5585.

“Fans who bring their dog to the game will sit in Section P …”

After the game it will be known as section Pee. Jokes aside I think this is a cool idea. Sounds like fun.

This is beyond beleive.

1. Do Rottweilers, German Shepards, Pitbulls, and Dobermens, fall under the category of **Pooches**

2. Signing of a waiver in Canada, does not absolve you from being sued. So if the Cougers knowingly set up this type of an event, and someone gets hurt, they can in fact be sued. The waiver means nothing.

3. Why do we need to go to these extremes to get people to attend a hockey game???

4. Would it be fair to say that the Cougar Franchise is going to the **dogs**

5. Now that we have opened the door to dogs, will we be able to bring other pets to games, ie; rats, cats, fish, etc; If not why not.

6. Will dogs and other pets be able to drink liquor in the stands?

7. Perhaps we could assign a section of the buildng to the 4 H club, and they could have their animals attend every game.

One thing is certain. Because of the low attendence at Couger games there is sufficient empty space for other things to take place. Perhaps the PG Symphony Orchestra could play during intermissions. This would give them a captive audience (small) to practice on.

“Salute to Service Dogs Week”

When you thought you had heard it all. I suppose some dogs would like it or care less. Mine sure would not like it.

With no NHL, I suppose these pooches have to go somewhere to get their hockey fix.
It should be a howl!
And for those who don’t like it, ruff!!

(do agree with the statement the Cougars organization has gone to the dogs…..long ago. And the problem that has never been rectified is that they have never had a GM who has been able to successfully do the job)

Now, who picks up the poop Nov 10th? And what about Section Pee?
