Prince George, B.C.- UNBC and it’s 300 support staff, members of CUPE 3799, have a tentative agreement.
The package is a 4 year deal and reflects similar agreements with other CUPE locals at other B.C. universities. Retroactive to July 1st 2010, the contract would see no wage increases in the first two years, and 2% in each of the last two. It also provides additional vacation time to long service employees.
Ratification votes are set for next week, with CUPE recommending the membership accept the deal. UNBC officials will also recommend acceptance by its Board of Governors.
