Prince George, BC – It’s that month of the shaggy upper lip as many men choose to support the Movember Foundation and Prostate Cancer Canada by growing their facial hair.

The Prince George Cougars are planning a team effort – with both players and coaching staff committing to go razor-free in a bid to raise funds and awareness about men’s health issues, particularly prostate cancer.

Cougars Head Coach, Dean Clark, says, "Everyone, in some way or another, will be affected by cancer."

"My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer four years ago and had surgery," says Clark.  "He’s still around today.  Having been through it with my own family, I understand the importance of getting regular check-ups and how early detection saves lives."
