Spirit Of the North Healthcare Foundation’s AGM: New CEO Introduced

Friday, November 2, 2012 @ 4:00 AM

Prince George, BC – The Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation used its annual general meeting earlier this week to introduce its new Chief Executive Officer, Jessica Aldred.

Aldred recently moved to Prince George, after 13-years working in fundraising for a number of organizations.  Aldred replaces Don Gowan, who resigned from the post back in June to accept a position with Finning Canada, as Regional General Manager.

Gowan was newly elected to a two-year term on the Foundation’s Board of Directors, along with: Albert Koehler, Colleen Sparrow, and David Yarmish.  Re-elected members include:  President Darren Masse, Shane Lapierre, Trevor Lutes, and Tom Sentes.

Audited financial statements for last year show the Foundation had gross revenues of just under $2.5-million dollars and issued grants of $1.9-million dollars to the University Hospital of Northern BC, numerous Northern Health facilities across the region, and community partner agencies.
