Gas Price Slips Again

Prince George, B.C.- The price of a litre of regular unleaded gas has slipped again in Prince George. Most gas stations in the City are now offering one litre for $1.219.
That’s the lowest mark it’s been for some time, and according to Gas Buddy.com, ist below the B.C. average of $1.223, and ever so slightly above the national average of $1.217.
Still, according to the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives Gas Gouge Meter, it is still 14 cents a litre too high. That with the price of crude now 85.4 dollars a barrel and the U.S. dollar on par with the Canadian dollar, the price of gas should be $1.08 per litre.

And were still paying more than the rest of the Province!

I’m not sure I understand how they can say that the price of gas should be $1.08 per litre. The price of gas is whatever people are willing to pay for it.
axman: “The price of gas is whatever people are willing to pay for it.”
Pretty much.
Does that mean that people have reduced their consumption in this area? And I wonder just how they determine what people are willing to pay? How does that work? Do they find that more people are bypassing the stations here, to fuel up in Vanderhoof or Quesnel?
Just curious, that’s all.
I still have the feeling that they are just playing with us. Something coming that doesn’t feel right.
Now your getting it gofaster.
The entire province pay for the infrastructure in Vancouver.
The rest of the province gets the dribbles.
gassed up in Victoria yesterday 1.12 a
litre, I tend to agree with Loki we are all paying for the huge mega dollar projects happening in Vancouver while the rest of us get fleeced

I think I know. The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives does not own any service stations and is not in the business of selling gas. I am sure if they did have a corner gas station in PG … and in North Bay … they would charge whatever the going rate was, not what their Gas Gouge Meter tells them they should charge ……. :-)
Actually, Gofaster, I think you are wrong —- the transit tax is paid by us not Vancouver and the refinery is just a shell —- there is nothing inside it.
When is the price of diesel going to follow suit?
RuFus 1……. I agree, it is a Shell game !
