TWolves Win Canada West Home Openers

Prince George, B.C. – The UNBC Timberwolves basketball teams made it an opening night to remember at the Northern Sports Centre Friday night. The women’s and men’s teams hosted their first-ever CIS games, and both clubs came out victorious.
Emily Kaehn and Kady Dandeneau scored 17 points apiece in leading the lady T’wolves to a 74-67 win over Trinity Western. The women now have a victory and two losses on the young season.
Over on the men’s side, Francis Rowe scored 25 points, Sam Raphael had 21, as UNBC roared to a 109-87 victory over TWU. The T’wolves have a 2 and 1 record.
And the clubs meet again tonight, with the women on the floor at 6pm, men at 8.
