Former Pot Party Candidate wins 25 Million
Terrace, B.C. – A Terrace man is a cool $25 million dollars richer today, having won half of a Lotto Max jackpot.
Bob Erb, said he saw a lot of zeros zeros when he checked his LOTTO MAX ticket on November 9 – six zeros to be exact.
Erb held the winning ticket that split the $50 million LOTTO MAX jackpot on the November 2 draw.
"I turned around and around and said to myself ‘It can’t be $25,000, there are too many zeros’," he said. "I put it in again to see if something will go wrong and, holy, it said $25 million!"
The 60-year-old seasonal construction worker says he will continue to work part-time but plans to donate his wages to local charities. "I won’t be buying a home gym so I’ll work for the exercise," he says.
As for his winnings, Erb says he plans to help friends and family and give money to Terrace soup kitchens, food banks, shelters and other local organizations.
If the name sounds familiar, you might recall he ran for the Marijuana Party at one time, and continues to battle to have marijuana decriminalized.

Congratulations
Heeeeeerrrrrre!!!
Wonder if he will now buy a house in Washington now? Good for him.
Sure hope he has a definite clue as to his real friends are (as opposed to those “friends” who obviously have devious and greedy (IMO) agendas). $25 million dollars and an established cause doesn’t sit well with me. Time to dump the cause. But that’s me.
BOB, buddy,it’s your old new friend middle finger. Let’s go to Belize and contemplate this new life your about to embark on …..
hey man, you can buy a lot of snacky with that kind of money.
Doritos for everyone.
I am impressed at the generous heart this man has and congratulate him on his willing ness to continue to work and donate his income. Great example to others.
I can honestly say that if I ever win that kind of cash then I’ll never work another day in my life. I sure wouldn’t be living up north either. I’d put a sign on my house that said ‘Free house’. Put the keys in the ignition to the truck in the driveway with another ‘Free’ sign. Go down to the dealership and buy the fanciest rig on the lot and get the heck outta Dodge…..
Work part time….pfft….screw that.
Way too much money to even contemplate. Wow, what would one do with that much money?
I think you would have to leave town for at least 6 months to a year. I like the idea mentioned above that you could put a sign on your house and vehicles that said “free”. Wouldn’t that be cool.
I’d never set foot in this dump again, let alone work here.
Yeah, I’d have to say I’d be on the first flight out of town as well.
This man sounds like he has integrity.
I think if I won I’d help out those who I know need it most. Its a lot of money no point in being greedy.
I’d put a few million into building some quality trail systems in and around PG at some of my favorite hiking spots. That would be my exercise and future legacy.
I’d surely never work again in the sense of working, but I’d definitely use the opportunity to influence politics and the way politics is done. This man sounds like he has some causes so I bet he’s thinking about that right now.
With all that money ya wouldn’t have to tell the world go to hell. You can hire someone for that.
