Prince George, B.C. – One person was taken to hospital for observation following an accident on the Hart Highway at Austin Rd just after 2pm. this afternoon.
Police say a north bound pickup failed to stop on the yellow light, colliding with the other pickup truck.
A light standard was crushed during the crash. The extent of the damage to the two vehicles is not known.

I see an “N”… someone failing to stop on a yellow should not cause a crash. Be interesting to know the details.

N? Isn’t that the abbreviation for nincompoop?

The “N” might be the one that got shmucked.
Like Interceptor said, not enough info.

Hard to tell exactly what happened, drove by it about 30 minutes after. Kinda looked like one vehicle was headed north, the other south, the truck heading south was turning left towards Tim Hortons, somehow they managed to collide. The older Ford in the picture had mostly damage to the passanger side box while the other vehicle, newer Dodge if my memory serves me, had extensive damage to the front end, more to the passenger side.

That should be more than enough information for the barber shop crew on here to convict one of them on a felony.

Or blame it on Christy Clark.

or blame Shari Green.

or blame both of them.

Interesting…reminds me of a friend of mine who got angry at someone for travelling straight through on a yellow while he was waiting to turn left – he was adamant that had he gone, and the truck had hit him, it would have been their fault, not his. Fun fact about ICBC – given the opportunity to split fault 50/50 in an accident, they will, and this sort of situation on a yellow light is the perfect example.

Splitting the fault means they can raise both party’s premiums! And that’s what ICBC is about, paying out as little as possible and raising premiums as much as they can so they can make record profits.

Truth proves nothing.

ICBC has its own rules for determining who is at fault in accidents but you normally have to have an accident before you find out those rules. For example: if you are crossing a one way street and you have the stop sign, stop and then proceed and are hit by a vehicle going the wrong way on the street, you are at fault. The one way is the dominant street if you have the stop sign.

So before crossing a one way, please be certain that no one is coming the other way as well.

Bye the way, the ‘N’s mean ‘not quite sure’ and the ‘L’s simply mean, “LOOK OUT!”

An ‘N’ on a vehicle is no indication that the actual driver is a novice.

“An ‘N’ on a vehicle is no indication that the actual driver is a novice.”

Precisely.
