Prince George, B.C.- The newest car dealership in Prince George is now officially open.
The new home for Wood Wheaton Honda, ( on highway 16 west ) was celebrated in style this evening, with the President of Honda Canada attending the opening. Takashi Sekiguchi praised Prince George, on this, his first visit to this City, saying he is impressed by both the community and the warm welcome he has received.
He game bearing gifts, and those who love cars, will love the special vehicle he brought with him, the 2013 Honda Accord Coupe. It is the first one to arrive in B.C.

He also brought along something else that has never been seen in Prince George before.
It’s called a Kabuto, ( in photo at right) a style of helmet first worn by ancient Japanese warriors, and later became an important part of the traditional Japanese armour worn by the Samurai. This particular Kabuto was from the 17th century “It is to represent your fighting spirit” said Sekiguchi as he presented the gift to Craig Wood.
The building of the new dealership was done in record time says Craig Wood, a mere 6 months, the shortest construction time for any Honda dealership in Canada as the Honda dealership moved from its former home on First Avenue in Prince George to it’s new location. Wood is also proud of the fact it was all done with local contractors. WIC was the general contractor, and all elements from the electrical to the red checkered flag graphics on the wall, are the product of local builders and suppliers.
For Craig Wood, the love affair with Honda started not with cars, but with the motorcycles the company had produced when Wood was still in elementary school. But tonight, it is all about the Hondas with 4 wheels, and Wood graciously thanked everyone involved in the development of the new dealership “for making my dream come true. A new journey starts tonight.”

What are you trying to say?
I know Craig Wood and he genuinely cares about the customer. All business people should be more like Mr Wood.
Congrats Craig, although I’d take a punch to the face before I’d drive an appliance like a Honda.
Congrats on the new dealership/location, but does this mean we are going to have another empty building sitting downtown?
Diwntown is dead, move along!
sounds violent.
The old Honda North location is a great place for a used car lot. And my wife’s Honda Accord is a pretty nice car. It’s amazing how well it runs for as little as she takes care of it.
Honda engineers are among the best in the world. Must agree with weaksauce though, Honda products are so refined and generic, they have no character. That’s why they need a ridiculous rear wing and a fart pipe exhaust };-)
Just what we need is another car salesmans palice.
Cheers
I like their ATV’s.
I would say their new lot is already to small. I wonder how long it will be before Honda’s are sitting where the Pine Valley Golf club-house currently is ?
Maybe the excess cars will be parked on the Haldi Road school lot. Doesn’t Mr. Wood own that?
