Festival of Trees Opens at Civic Centre

Prince George, B.C. – The Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation’s 19th annual Festival of Trees opens today at the Civic Centre.
 
Running over the next ten days the Festival features beautifully-decorated trees, displays, lights, entertainment and fun events. There’s a Santa Brunch, Fashion Show, Children’s Craft World, Seniors tea, Jingle Bell Dance and the Teddy Bear Breakfast (info at spiritofthenorth.ca). There is also a gift shop featuring lots of gift ideas.

All of the proceeds generated by the Festival are used to support and enhance healthcare in the community and at UHNBC. The event has raised $3.7 million over the past eleven years. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and students and $10 for a family pass.
 
The Festival of Trees runs today through December 2nd, from 10am to 9pm most days. The live auction of the festival trees is held during the gala evening November 30th. Tickets are $100 each.
