Prince George, B.C.-  This little fella’ is either REALLY early for Spring, or REALLY late  flying south.

He was spotted  Sunday  in a tree  on a Northwood Pulpmill Road property.

Our  photographer  says this little bird  seemed to be able to fly o.k.,  but  somehow missed the  message that  it was time to head south.

I have bird feeders out for just this kind of bird. Some people believe you shouldn’t put out feeders, but I like to watch them, and help starving wildlife.

That is a great picture!

There’s one frequenting my mountain ash tree in lower college heights. He is having to dodge the cedar wax wing flock that is working the same trees, and I often see him in the company of a couple of flickers.

There is one out by Eaglet lake too….

Aren’t the waxwings “Bohemian” and not Cedars? I’ve seen these flocks and assumed they are “Bohemian”. http://10000birds.com/cedar-waxwing-vs-bohemian-waxwing.htm
